We will manage university Laboratory of Green Power Engineering!

On 13th October, an agreement was signed between Maritime University of Szczecin, represented by the Rector Prof. DSc. PhD. Eng. Master Mariner Stanisław Gucma and MUS Innovation Centre LLC, represented by the CEO Konrad AMSzczecin-logo Frontczak. The agreement was signed on the choice of the Operator for Laboratory of Green Power Engineering .

MUS Innovation Centre will be responsible for commercial usage of Laboratory capabilites.

The Laboratory of Green Power Engineering offers services related to the testing of the quality of energy from renewable sources (wind energy). Its innovation consists in combining individual power systems, generators in particular, and examining their combined impact on produced and transmitted energy. Laboratory also have interesting advantage of the Mobile Diagnostics Station, which can conduct research “on the pot” where wind turbines are located.

Examples of LGPE service:
– Field survey on working conditions that produce energy and assessment of their condition (mobile diagnostic station)
– Research on the creation and application of new algorithms for the generator ring
– Research to improve the quality of the generated electricity
– Study the effect of electromagnetic interference on modern methods of control
– Research issues related to the timing and distribution of active power and reactive
– Study the effect of interference on the part of generators and power converters (THD)
– Test reliability of the short-circuit switch
– Research indicated current and voltage transformers
– Study the effect of electromagnetic interference coming from close low-voltage network

Soon we will start wide promotional campaign about LGPE capabilities.

Professionalisation of technology transfer at the Maritime University

We are pleased to announce, that we significantly improved business relations between MUS Innovation Centre LLC (MUSIC) and Maritime University of Szczecin.  1

Knowing that MUS Innovation Centre LLC is a special purpose company established to commercialize result of R&D projects and technologies, both parties (University and MUSIC) signed an agreement to entrust the managment of universities IPR into hands of MUSIC.

MUSIC received full rights to negotiate business conditions, sale licences, know-how and technologies that arise at the Maritime University of Szczecin. It means that MUSIC is the only one representative of Maritime University of Szczecin for those interested in developing/buying/implement its technologies.

This is the kind of breakthrough in dealing with business / investors / industry.

Participation in the largest maritime exhibition in Hamburg

More than 2,100 exhibitors and 50,000 trade visitors, 90,000 m2 – impressive numbers that speak for themselves. In 2014, SMM again confirmed its position as the most important event in the maritime industry calendar.

MUS Innovation Centre took part in this exhibition. During 3 days we had a number of meetings and disussions with potential partners from countreis such as Germany, Belgium, Greece, Turkey etc.

The meetings were also attended by scientists from Maritime University of Szczecin. B2B meetings were organized by the Enterprise Europe Network network and p. Alicja Wiglusz of ZSRG-SCP – thank you very much!
